Meet the AttorneysLaurie E. Sherwood is a partner in WFBM's San Francisco office and has been with the firm for 20 years. Her practice focuses on travel and tour operator, employment, construction defect, and product liability litigation. Throughout her career, she has successfully represented corporations, manufacturers, distributors, general contractors/subcontractors, travel businesses, and municipalities in multiple party and complex litigation. Her successes include summary judgments, favorable settlements, and obtaining dismissals in a variety of litigation matters. Laurie frequently gives presentations in various areas including employment practices, construction litigation, social media, and toxic exposure.
Laurie E. Sherwood
Before joining WFBM, Laurie spent nine wonderful and rewarding years as a high school teacher and vice-principal after earning her undergraduate degree in biology at LMU, followed by a master's degree in school administration. Born and raised in Southern California, she then sought a new challenge and career and ventured to Northern California for her law degree at the University of California, Hastings College of Law. Over the years, Laurie has participated in various volunteer activities, chaired a local Commission, and served as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) volunteer. Currently, she serves as the President-Elect on the LMU Alumni Board of Directors and the Sever College of Science and Engineering Executive Committee.
