Comfortable shoes were the order of the day on July 28, 2012 as attorneys from Walsworth, Franklin, Bevins & McCall participated in the CitySolve 2012 San Francisco Scavenger Hunt.  In this unique race, fifty-five teams had to rely on their knowledge of pop culture, local history, area neighborhoods, public transportation, map reading, and other skills, in order to decipher clues, compete in team challenges and navigate their teams to checkpoints scattered throughout the city (this was verified by taking pictures of themselves at each location) within a 5 ½ hour time limit.

WFBM San Francisco city_searchUnder unusually blue skies, participants fanned out over 8 miles of hilly San Francisco terrain on foot and via public transportation (no cars allowed) all while adroitly utilizing teamwork, cooperation and determination to solve clues and beat the clock.  Challenges included taking group photos with strangers, playing "Pictionary" in Union Square, hawking sunglasses for charity and locating little known establishments treasured by San Francisco natives.  A fun and enlightening time was had by all.

The firm fielded two teams: Team Walsworth #1 (Sharon Clisham, Margaret Mahaffey, Heather Zacharia and Alex Lozada); and Team Walsworth #2 (Florence McClain, Allison Mullings and Dylan Rudolph).  Team Walsworth #1 came in 21st place and finished in under four hours (3:28 to be exact), making them eligible for the 2012 CitySolve Urban Race Championship that was held in Miami on November 3, 2012.

Proceeds from the scavenger hunt went to "One Brick", a 100% volunteer organization that supports local non-profit and community organizations by creating a unique, social and flexible volunteer environment for those interested in making a more meaningful difference in the community.
